Bessie Parr
(Abt 1896-) |
Bessie Parr 1
General Notes: (This tidbit is about my grandmother, Carl's wife) Bessie [last name Parr], the youngest of her siblings, was a strong willed and independent person. She had a small tax business, was very much into antiques and old, rare coins. She didn't trust banks and would more likely hide her valuables in the flour sifter, or in the basement buried among other cans or somewhere in the yard. At the cottage she had her own boat and motor; generally, whenever they drove anywhere, it was Bessie doing the driving. She would buy a new car once every 10 years - - whether she needed to or not. Noted events in her life were: • Occupation: 7-4. Bessie married Carl Gramling, son of William Albert Gramling and Mary May Chapman. (Carl Gramling was born about 1892 2.) |
