21. JACOB [4] ELMER (Hezekiah3, Edward2, Edward1) born 1728, in Northfield, Mass; married Dec. 28, 1754, Submit, daughter of Abraham Elgar. He went from Northfield to Hinsdale in 1763. June 21, 1764, he sold 15 3/4 acres of land in Hinsdale, in the Province of New Hampshire, in New England, to Samuel Stratton for 48 shillings. He also sold to Jos. Stebbins 43 acres at a place called Hinsdale in Cumberland Co., State of New York, being in the 4th Division of Commons in Northfield, in that part of the Town of Hinsdale on the west side of the Great river, originally belonging to the Town of Northfield [MA]. The deed was recorded by John Bridgman, first town clerk.
